The Return of MONTHLY MASTERS Tournament Format
Tournament of Terror at Ricks Place (private) in Broomall, PA on October 26th, 2024
All day of tournament play, good food, IFPA point things, and great company.

Monthly Masters is a FUN tournament format where no players are eliminated. As the tournament progresses players will play players of their own skill level.
The tournament will be played in a series of rounds. The first round is seeded based on IFPA score in a slaughter configuration (best player plays lowest player, etc.).
Players will play in groups of 4 or 3 players. With scoring of 5-3-2-1 or 5-3-1. After each round the tournament will be sorted by the number of points obtained (Swiss).
Games are picked via matchplay software and players play in the order they are grouped.
Qualification is time based, whatever round we are playing at 4:30 will be the last round played. Wonderful dinner will be provided by our hosts at 5 PM.
After dinner the group you qualified in will be the group you are locked into and you will be playing to determine the winner of that group. Tie breakers will be determined by matchplay software win-loss ratios.
Each group will continue to play rapid fire matches until time is up. Whatever match is being played at 7:30 pm will be the last match. Scoring is the same (5-3-2-1 or 5-3-1). Tiebreakers will be based on the amount times a players has received 1st on a game, then 2nd till a winner is determined. If a winner cannot be determined then a full tiebreaker game will be played.
Games will be picked by Matchplay software, however players must play open games whenever possible. Order is determined by the lowest player of the last game. If all games are full we respectfully ask to only wait for games that are already on ball 3.
Award certificates will be provided to all players at our awards ceremony. There are no cash prizes for standard ticket players.
For players that purchased an additional cash ticket entry, cash prizes will be awarded based on their finishing place in the tournament. Top 4 cash ticket holders will receive cash prizes distributed roughly (50%, 25%,15%,10%). If you didn't purchase a cash ticket entry, you are not eligible for the cash prize no matter what place you got in the tournament.

Standard IFPA rules will be followed, however we do have some additional rules we want everyone to be aware of:
No Abuse of GamesNo hitting, kicking, slapping or rage tilting games. We have been invited as guests to be able to play these amazing collections, let us show the host our gratitude and respect.
No Delay of GamePlease be respectful of all players and be present and ready to play when it is your turn. Do not hold balls on flippers longer than necessary and do not purposely delay game play. All players want to play the maximum number of rounds, so please show respect to your fellow players.
Good SportsmanshipWe ask that you be respectful of all players. No coaching during gameplay, no taunting and any unwelcome bullying will not be allowed.
Respect the TeamTournament directors are doing their best and have the final ruling. If you disagree with a ruling you may ask for a second tournament director to review. Once reviewed with the first tournament director, the ruling is final. Respectful discussion is allowed but arguing or not following the rulings are not.
Anyone who does not follow these rules will be given one warning then asked to leave without refund. Anyone who is asked to leave will not be allowed to attend any future Myth Pinball event.
We are happy to refund players who cannot make the tournament. We understand that things happen, but we ask for at least 24 hours notice so we can try to move a player from the waitlist. Less than 24 hours notice a $20 cancellation fee will be imposed to help cover the cost of already ordered food. Do not show up if you are feeling sick or unwell, you will be asked to leave without refund.
